RABINDRANATH TAGORE PARK
The park is named after the famous writer Rabindranath Tagore which is also known as
Smriti Ban. It is located near .
The park is built to commemorate his stay in Rinchenpong dak bungalow. As it is believed that
Rabindranath Tagore have written some verses of his famous work ‘Gitanjali’. At present Govt.
of Sikkim has undertaken various beautification project giving importance to this viewpoint. The
park is filled with rhododendron, orchids and many other seasonal flowers. From here tourists
can also enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The project is currently under construction.

How to Reach:
By Air
Bagdogra in Siliguri is the nearest airport to reach the destination. Which is about 130- 135 kms from Rinchenpong. One can hire cab or pre book through travel agencies to reach the destination.
By Train
New Jalpaiguri is the nearest railway station to reach the destination. From Siliguri one can hire or take share cab till Rinchenpong.
By Road
From Gangtok(capital) the tourists can travel through rented cabs or share cabs to reach the destination, which takes about 3-4 hrs.
